Cliona is multi award winning master educator, beautician and session nail stylist. With over 18 years experience in the beauty industry, Cliona decided to establish Beautique just over four years ago, starting with a dedicated beauty training academy.  Within a few months Cliona went on to open a nail bar in Kopper Hair, Glanmire. In November of 2017, Cliona expanded her business into Cork City.

Cliona tells us how Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur has help her business ahead of the regional final on January 15th.

“In November of 2017 we expanded our businesses into the city. Sabrina Hill opened Kopper on Half Moon Street, the largest Hair salon in Cork and I opened Beautique Beauty which hosts 4 treatment rooms and 2 nail bars within the hair salon. Before expanding I was working closely with my Local Enterprise Office who encouraged me to go for IBYE. It was such an amazing opportunity and I met so many like minded entrepreneurs along the way.

I never actually expected to go on to win, I was just so glad of the experience and confidence I gained, especially when it came to devising business plans and projections. The prize money will help so much to further develop my business and I encourage anybody starting out to go for it, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.”

Cliona will now progress to the IBYE regional final which takes place on January 15th.
